Yoel Romero is becoming known as the face of Dirty Boxing.
Last year, BKFC star Mike Perry started his own fight promotion called Dirty Boxing. It features three-minute rounds and allows elbows. The first event was private and held in Miami in November, where Romero defeated Duane Crespo. Now, Dirty Boxing is officially entering the fight scene and has Romero headlining their first public event.
Dirty Boxing announced on Wednesday that Romero will fight former Bellator fighter Ras Hylton in the main event. The event will be held on March 22 at The Hangar at Regatta Harbour in Miami.
Romero hasn’t fought since his knockout win over Crespo at the first Dirty Boxing event. However, the 47-year-old Olympic wrestling medalist recently signed with GFL and is expected to fight Mauricio Rua later this year. Hylton’s last fight was a knockout loss in Cage Titans in 2023.
