World No. 1 and three-time Grand Slam champion, Italian tennis player Yannik Sinner, has announced a change in his sports agency representation. After a five-year partnership with StarWing Sports, Sinner has signed an agreement with AVIMA Sports & Business Management.
For a significant period, Sinner’s agent was Lawrence Frankopan, the CEO of StarWing Sports, recognized for his collaborations with tennis luminaries such as Stan Wawrinka, Gael Monfils, and Karen Khachanov. Now, Alex Vittur, the founder of AVIMA and a former Italian tennis professional himself, will assume comprehensive management of Sinner’s brand development from a business standpoint.
In an official press release, Sinner stated, “Lawrence Frankopan and his team have given me tremendous support, something I will always cherish. I want to thank them for their dedication over the years.”
Frankopan also commented, “Considering my long-term commitments to StarWing Sports, I couldn’t accept an offer to work solely at AVIMA. However, I am grateful for the opportunity to have worked with an exceptional talent like Yannik and am proud of what we accomplished together. I wish Yannik all the best and continued success in his future endeavors.”
Sinner’s suspension, reportedly unrelated to performance-enhancing drugs and more likely administrative, is set to conclude on May 4th. He is expected to resume official training sessions starting April 13th.
