Manchester United fans are all wondering the same thing.
When Gary Lineker asked Wayne Rooney on live BBC broadcast about it before the FA Cup game against Fulham, the Manchester United icon paused, seemingly amused by the query.

Lineker, the host of Match of the Day, turned to Rooney and posed: “An easy question for you. What are your thoughts on Ruben Amorim’s time managing Manchester United so far?”
Rooney chuckled as he geared up to respond. Amorim was appointed four months prior, and Manchester United currently sits 14th in the Premier League.
The former England captain smiled and joked, “Easy one, indeed!”
Rooney, previously a striker for Everton and recently dismissed as Plymouth manager in December, added, “It’s certainly been a tough beginning with the results.”
“However, I believe we can see his intentions, including loaning out players. Many players likely need to leave the club, and he’s gradually working towards that.”
“I genuinely believe his real impact will be seen starting next season.”
Rooney also stated, “They need to navigate through this season.”
“The FA Cup presents an opportunity to strive for and potentially win a trophy.”

“But there are significant changes happening at Manchester United, both on and off the field.”
“I anticipate we will witness substantial change from next season onwards.”
Shortly after, Rooney faced another uncomfortable moment.
Calvin Bassey scored the only goal in the first half’s added time for Fulham at Old Trafford.
This goal, again, resulted from poor defending by United.
Rooney described the first half of Sunday’s fifth-round match as “difficult to watch.”
He mentioned that some players were “playing out of position,” which he identified as a critical issue for Amorim to address during the summer transfer window.
