Following his victory at the Players Championship, Rory McIlroy continues the PGA Tour in Florida at the Valspar Championship. He secured his Players Championship win in a playoff against J.J. Spaun, marking his second signature event win of the season.
The Valspar Championship will be held at the Copperhead Course in Innisbrook Resort, Palm Harbor. Starting on the first day of spring, 156 golfers will compete for a portion of the $8.7 million prize money.
The Copperhead Course is known for the ‘Snake Pit,’ a challenging three-hole stretch on holes 16, 17, and 18. Last year’s winner, Peter Malnati, navigated this stretch bogey-free to secure a two-shot victory over Cameron Young.
