UFC Seattle Salaries: Song Yadong and Rob Font Earn Top Pay
Song Yadong achieved a career-high victory with a technical decision over former two-division champion Henry Cejudo at UFC Seattle. He also topped the pay chart for the entire event.
Salary details for UFC Seattle were disclosed by the Washington State Department of Licensing. The highest earners were Song and bantamweight veteran Rob Font.
Song’s main event win earned him $320,000, broken down into $160,000 for appearing and an additional $160,000 for winning. The fight concluded after an accidental eye poke to Cejudo rendered him unable to continue, as determined by referee Jason Herzog.
Since the bout progressed into the third round of a five-round fight, the judges’ scorecards determined a technical decision win for Song.
Cejudo received $150,000, missing out on a potential $150,000 win bonus.
Font also secured a $320,000 payday for his split decision victory against Jean Matsumoto in the main card, mirroring Song’s earnings with $160,000 for showing and $160,000 for winning.
