UFC 313 has a new fight added to its lineup.
Chris Gutierrez will now face John Castaneda on Saturday’s pay-per-view event in Las Vegas. This information was confirmed by sources with knowledge of the promotion’s plans.
The fight will be a catchweight bout at 145 pounds due to the short notice.
Gutierrez was originally scheduled to fight Jean Matsumoto on this card, but Matsumoto was moved to UFC Seattle. Gutierrez aims to continue his winning record in the bantamweight division after his recent victory over Quang Le.
Castaneda was supposed to compete at UFC Vegas 103, but his opponent was not medically cleared. He is looking to rebound from a loss to Daniel Marcos in June.
The main event of UFC 313 is a light heavyweight title fight between Alex Pereira and Magomed Ankalaev.
