Tottenham’s season has been further hampered by injuries, with key forward Dejan Kulusevski now sidelined with a foot injury.
Spurs have been plagued by injuries throughout the 2024-25 season, with James Maddison, Dominic Solanke, Radu Dragusin, and Micky van de Ven among the prominent players who have missed significant time.

Kulusevski, a Swedish international, is the latest player to join the injury list. He has been a key member of Ange Postecoglou’s squad this season, scoring seven goals and providing four assists in 27 league appearances.
Reports indicate that Kulusevski is undergoing tests as Tottenham seeks to determine the severity of the injury.
The exact cause of the injury is still unknown, but it is expected to rule him out of Thursday’s Europa League match against AZ Alkmaar.
His participation in Sunday’s Premier League game against Bournemouth is also uncertain as Tottenham aims to move up the league table.
Tottenham may also request that Kulusevski skip Sweden’s upcoming international matches against Luxembourg and Northern Ireland in March to focus on his recovery in London.
This is Kulusevski’s first injury of the season and only the second since joining Tottenham. His previous injury was a thigh problem in September 2022, which caused him to miss 10 games.
Injuries have significantly impacted Postecoglou and Tottenham’s season, with several key players frequently absent for extended periods.
A poor run of form with only one win in 11 games between December and January saw Spurs drop to 15th place. Although they have since climbed to 13th, Postecoglou has attributed the team’s struggles to injuries.
“It’s just injuries,” he stated in late January.
“I believe we have assembled an exciting squad. When everyone is fit, the club will reap the benefits, not only this season but for many years to come.”
