Manchester United fans were surprised by a joke at their team’s expense during Sky Sports’ darts coverage.
The Premier League Darts event took place in Exeter, where Luke Littler was competing.

Littler reached the final but lost to Luke Humphries, after winning his first match against Stephen Bunting.
Despite feeling unwell, the 18-year-old Littler achieved a high average score of 112.34.
Littler won 6-3, even though Bunting also played well with an average of 104.
Bunting appeared disheartened as Littler impressively hit TEN 180s in the match.
Commentator Stuart Pyke and Wayne Mardle were commentating for Sky Sports.
Mardle said the Premier League Darts format was very demanding.
Pyke then joked, comparing the pressure in darts to football, saying, "There is no Manchester United to relieve the pressure in this Premier League."
Mardle laughed and added, "For anyone offended by that we’re sorry".
One fan on social media platform X commented: "Man United even catching strays at the darts, can’t catch a break."
Another fan joked about not being able to avoid jokes about Man Utd even while watching darts, expressing frustration with the team’s situation.
Luke Littler, the new world champion, is known to be a big Manchester United supporter.
He showed off his trophy at Old Trafford after his 7-3 victory over Michael van Gerwen last month.
However, Manchester United’s performance this year is not as successful as Littler’s recent achievements.
Despite Ruben Amorim becoming manager in November, Manchester United is currently in the lower half of the Premier League.
