Pizzul was a prominent figure in football broadcasting throughout his career.
He was the main commentator for the Italian national football team from 1986 to 2002.

Although England fans experienced disappointment when Stuart Pearce missed a penalty against West Germany in the semi-finals, Pizzul’s enthusiastic commentary contributed to a memorable summer, especially as Italy secured third place against England.
