Chelsea and Manchester City are poised to gain from the largest financial reward in football history as they participate in the inaugural expanded Club World Cup this summer.
Fifa officials have confirmed an astonishing £776 million prize fund for the 32-team competition, scheduled to take place in the USA during June and July.

A global television rights agreement with the streaming service DAZN will finance the tournament.
The 12 European teams involved will receive the most substantial upfront payments.
Prize money will be structured to reward progress in the later stages of the tournament, with complete details expected to be announced next week.
However, reaching the quarter-finals is projected to earn the two Premier League clubs around £60 million.
Winning the entire tournament could potentially yield a £100 million reward.
Fifa will also distribute a significant “solidarity” payment to clubs and national associations not participating in the competition.
Fifa President Gianni Infantino stated, “The Fifa Club World Cup will be the pinnacle of club football.”
“It will also serve as a powerful demonstration of unity, benefiting clubs globally on an unprecedented scale.”
“All revenues generated from the tournament will be distributed to the participating clubs and through club solidarity worldwide, as Fifa will not retain any profit.”
“Fifa’s reserves, intended for global football development, will remain untouched.”
