World No. 9 Paula Badosa has offered her support to Argentinian tennis player Federico Agustin Gomez, currently ranked 135th in the world, after he opened up about his mental health challenges in a social media post.
Gomez confessed that he had considered ending his career and even contemplated suicide.
Badosa responded on social media, saying: “It’s very hard to read these words, in which I see my own thoughts. Sending you a lot of support and strength. You are very brave. Remember that the storm doesn’t last forever, and the sun always rises. And when it comes out, you will be stronger than ever.”
