Patrick McEnroe, the brother of seven-time Grand Slam champion John McEnroe, has shared his enthusiastic thoughts on Mirra Andreeva’s recent triumph at the WTA 1000 tournament in Indian Wells, USA.
McEnroe took to social media to express his admiration, stating, “Mirra Andreeva is absolutely amazing. What a tournament. She is destined to be world number one… soon. Another incredible performance, this time in Indian Wells.”
In the Indian Wells final, the young Russian tennis player overcame world number one Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus in a thrilling three-set match, with scores of 2-6, 6-4, 6-3. This victory marks Andreeva’s second consecutive WTA 1000 title, following her win in Dubai (UAE) in February. She is currently on a 12-match winning streak.
