Nottingham Forest fans jubilantly taunted Ipswich supporters with chants of “You’re going down with Leicester” after Anthony Elanga scored Forest’s third goal in quick succession, exploiting Ipswich’s weak defense.

Forest’s dominant performance highlighted their European aspirations, while Ipswich’s defeat further dampened their hopes of avoiding relegation.
Nikola Milenkovic, a standout signing for Forest, opened the scoring, followed by two impressive goals from former Manchester United player Elanga, showcasing both his and his team’s quality.
Despite poor Ipswich defending, Elanga’s clinical finishing and speed were truly remarkable.
Forest’s rapid counter-attacks are proving to be a major threat in the league, and could be equally effective in European competitions next season. The only question remains which European tournament Forest will qualify for.
Jens Cajuste and George Hirst managed to score consolation goals for Ipswich, while Jota Silva added Forest’s fourth, ensuring a comfortable victory. This result increases the likelihood of Ipswich’s relegation, especially after Wolves’ victory over Southampton.
Ipswich showed promise in the initial minutes, with Omari Hutchinson’s shot narrowly missing the target, but Forest’s quality soon took over.
Forest fans praised Morgan Gibbs-White, chanting “England’s No10,” likely in response to Thomas Tuchel’s decision to omit him from the England squad.
Gibbs-White initiated a swift counter-attack, leading to a chance for Callum Hudson-Odoi, before Milenkovic powerfully scored, and Elanga quickly added two more goals, exploiting defensive errors from Ipswich.
Elanga’s second goal further emphasized Ipswich’s defensive woes. Despite Ipswich’s improved play at the start of the second half and a save forced from Forest goalkeeper Matz Sels by Hutchinson, and a missed header by Delap, they couldn’t mount a serious comeback.
Late goals from Cajuste and Hirst for Ipswich and Silva for Forest finalized the scoreline. Forest’s fans confidently chanted about facing Real Madrid, reflecting their growing ambitions.
