Before a recent Manchester United match against Ipswich, a mouse was observed on the field at Old Trafford.

This incident brings attention to ongoing pest issues at Manchester United’s home stadium.
Prior to the game against Ipswich, the mouse was seen running on the Old Trafford grass.
A staff member had to catch the mouse and take it away.
Fans expressed their concern online, with one suggesting it’s a consequence of reducing pest control services.
Another fan commented that the mouse sighting reflects the current state of affairs at Old Trafford.
Someone else joked that the mouse was looking for food after hearing about changes to the cafeteria menu.
Previously, a fan reported seeing a mouse under a seat during a home game against Southampton last month.
The rodent problem is thought to be related to Old Trafford’s location near a railway line and a canal.
In a previous report, mice infestations were noted at Old Trafford.
Hygiene inspections reportedly found rodent droppings in food areas and luxury boxes.
More signs of mice were found in corporate areas at ground level.
As a result, Old Trafford’s hygiene rating was lowered at the end of last year.
Last November, fans even spotted a dead rat in a puddle beneath a seat.
A Manchester United representative stated in December that they have a thorough pest control system at Old Trafford.
They mentioned regular checks in all food-related areas and strict procedures to maintain high hygiene and cleanliness standards where food is handled.
The spokesperson added that any such incidents are addressed immediately with appropriate measures.
A task force, including Gary Neville, Andy Burnham, and Lord Sebastian Coe, is considering options for Old Trafford, such as renovating the current stadium or constructing a new, larger venue.
The government has indicated support for stadium redevelopment plans, which could also include new housing, business spaces, and public areas.
Manchester United is expected to make a final decision about their stadium plans before the summer.
