Manchester United triumphed over Leicester City in a dominant 3-0 victory, marking a night of breakthroughs as two of their forwards ended extended periods without scoring.

Rasmus Hojlund found the net for the first time since December 12th, concluding a 22-game, 22-hour, and 19-minute goal drought. His goal opened the scoring for Manchester United.

Alejandro Garnacho also contributed to the scoreline, ending his four-month wait for a goal. His previous goal was in Europe against Bodo Glimt, and this Premier League goal was his first since November 10th, spanning 25 games and 24 hours and 11 minutes.
Bruno Fernandes, named Man of the Match, sealed the victory in the 90th minute, extending manager Ruben Amorim’s unbeaten streak to seven games. It was Fernandes’ 17th goal across all competitions this season.

For Leicester City, managed by Ruud van Nistelrooy, their struggles at home continued, extending their home goal drought to seven games, a Premier League first. They face a serious threat of relegation, currently nine points behind Wolves.
Leicester fans displayed a banner criticizing their team’s performance, referencing their past resilience as the ‘Dogs of War’ and contrasting it with their current form.

Hojlund’s opening goal came in the first half after Leicester’s defense faltered. Fernandes delivered a pass, and defensive errors allowed Hojlund to score into the far corner.

In the second half, Manchester United faced a setback when young defender Ayden Heaven was stretchered off due to a knee injury.
