Magomed Ankalaev and Alex Pereira relied on the judges’ decision at UFC 313 to determine the winner of their fight.
After a closely contested five rounds, Magomed Ankalaev emerged victorious, securing the UFC light heavyweight title. He defeated two-division champion Alex Pereira by unanimous decision. The judges’ scorecards read (48-47, 48-47, 49-46) in favor of Ankalaev. The fight took place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Saturday night.
Judges Mike Bell and Derek Cleary scored the first and fifth rounds for Pereira, and the remaining three rounds for Ankalaev. Judge Sal D’Amato differed slightly, giving only the first round to Pereira and the subsequent four rounds to Ankalaev.
