Australian Open champion Madison Keys shared her thoughts on sports betting.
Keys mentioned the prevalence of betting companies as sponsors in sports, noting that many tournaments benefit financially from partnerships with bookmakers. She stated, “In a way, they provide us with jobs. So, for players, it’s a beneficial situation. I can’t say I personally enjoy betting, but it depends on how you look at it. Tournaments using that money to pay players is a good thing. However, it’s also true that people lose money through betting, which is negative.”
