Jean Silva wasted no time in trying to get under Bryce Mitchell’s skin at the UFC 314 press conference.
Silva and Mitchell are scheduled to fight at UFC 314, taking place on April 12 in Miami. This featherweight bout is part of a stacked card, which also features a vacant championship fight in the same division, headlining with Alexander Volkanovski against Diego Lopes.
On Friday, leading up to this weekend’s UFC 313 event, Silva and Mitchell participated in the UFC 314 press conference where Silva trolled Mitchell with a globe.
When Mitchell was asked his first question, amidst loud boos from the audience, he was questioned about his comments supporting Adolf Hitler and questioning the holocaust on his podcast. Before Mitchell could respond, Silva interrupted him and initiated a “F*ck Bryce Mitchell” chant, which was joined by the fans.
Mitchell eventually responded to Silva.
“You’re barking up the wrong tree, motherf*cker,” Mitchell retorted.
Silva then approached Mitchell with the globe, continuously attempting to troll “Thug Nasty,” until Jon Anik intervened to move the press conference forward.
The fighters then faced off for the first time in an intense staredown on stage.
They appeared ready to enter the Octagon immediately.
