Jayden Eynaud produced an unforgettable knockout at Friday’s Karate Combat event.

The Australian fighter clashed with former Bellator title contender Julius Anglickas at Karate Combat 53 in Denver. In the first round, Eynaud landed a powerful spinning backfist that sent Anglickus crashing to the mat, unconscious, before Eynaud added a follow-up strike reminiscent of Dan Henderson to secure a significant win on short notice.

Following his victory, Eynaud delivered an energetic, profanity-laced challenge to former UFC fighter Uriah Hall for a future fight. Eynaud’s record in Karate Combat now stands at 2-0, with his previous victory being a first-round knockout against Adam Rosa at Karate Combat 51 in December.

Anglickas, after winning on Dana White’s Contender Series but not receiving a UFC contract, joined Bellator. He won his initial three bouts to earn a light heavyweight title opportunity, where he was defeated by Vadim Nemkov at Bellator 268 in October 2021. Anglickas subsequently lost his next two fights in the promotion.
