Former world No. 3 and former coach of Roger Federer, Ivan Ljubicic, shared a valuable piece of advice he learned from the 20-time Grand Slam champion.
Ljubicic stated, “My advice to people, which I primarily learned from Roger, is: celebrate your victories. Celebrate them. Even defeats, especially if it’s a final, deserve celebration after some time. It’s important to celebrate.”
He added, “Of course, tennis players enjoy victories, but even then, the sweetness of victory cannot be compared to the bitterness of defeat. And this is perhaps unfair in the lives of top players,” Ljubicic’s words are quoted by the official website of the Australian Open.
