Fans are worried that Aaron Ramsey’s career might be coming to an end after the Arsenal icon suffered yet another injury.
Ramsey, 34, was forced to leave the game early in Cardiff’s 2-1 defeat at home against Luton on Tuesday due to injury.
The Welsh midfielder played for only 49 minutes before being substituted by Sivert Mannsverk.
This is the latest in a series of long-term injuries he has experienced while playing for Cardiff.
Ramsey, a celebrated figure at Arsenal, returned to his boyhood club Cardiff in July 2023 but suffered a knee injury just a few months later.
That injury sidelined him for almost three months.
A year later, Ramsey faced an even more significant setback, tearing his hamstring in September before making a comeback last month.
Consequently, he has only made 22 appearances in his second stint with Cardiff.
Fans believe that Ramsey’s most recent injury could signal the end of his time with the Welsh team, and possibly his entire football career.
One fan commented, “I’m afraid that might be his last game for the club.”
Another speculated, “Wouldn’t be surprised if he retires.”
One fan noted, “He’ll be injured for the rest of the season.”
Another added, “This can’t keep happening.”
Ramsey, who has also played for Juventus, Nice, and Rangers, became famous during his 11-year tenure at Arsenal.
He played 369 matches for the Gunners and won three FA Cups.
However, his injury troubles began during his time at Arsenal in 2010.
Ramsey suffered a broken leg following a challenge by Stoke’s Ryan Shawcross, which kept him out of action for nine months.
Throughout his time in London, he accumulated numerous hamstring, thigh, groin, and calf injuries.
These issues continued to trouble him even when he played abroad, before Cardiff offered him a return.
