The organizers of the WTA 1000 tournament in Indian Wells have announced a change in their court surface provider.
According to a press release published on the tournament’s website, Laykold will be the new supplier.
“Laykold will bring a new dynamic, ensuring an optimal playing environment for ATP and WTA players to showcase their best tennis,” the release stated.
The press release further emphasized the stability of the new courts: “Laykold courts offer stability 10 times greater than the industry standard. We are creating the most consistent tennis courts in history for the California tournament.”
The Indian Wells tournament is scheduled to be held from March 5th to 16th.
