World No. 2 Iga Swiatek shared her thoughts on her dominant victory over Karolina Muchova in the fourth round of the Indian Wells tournament. Swiatek secured a convincing win with a score of 6-1, 6-1.
“I felt in control of the match right from the start and minimized my errors. My aim was to prevent Karolina from imposing her game, and I’m pleased that I executed my plan effectively,” Swiatek stated during the press conference.
She further elaborated, “Sometimes, matches can unfold unexpectedly. If one player isn’t feeling their best while the other is playing exceptionally well, it can lead to a significant score difference, more so than usual. We practiced together just last week, and our levels were quite similar. Today, I played with sharpness and composure.”
