World No. 21 Canadian player, Felix Auger-Aliassime, shared his thoughts on his victory against Frenchman Quentin Halys, ranked 77th, in the semi-final of the ATP 500 tournament in Dubai with a score of 5-7, 6-4, 6-3.
"I don’t know how I managed today. I’ve only played three-set matches this week. We were both feeling a bit tired."
"I think the secret to success is a positive attitude. When you have a tough day, you just need to talk to yourself and stay positive. I managed to do that, and I dug deep, so I’m very happy that it paid off today."
"It’s always difficult when you come from Doha and feel a bit tired. But it’s the same challenge for everyone, which is interesting. It’s all about who is sharper when needed and wins important points. It’s not easy, but I feel more and more confident that I have the solutions to get through such matches," said Auger-Aliassime.
