World No. 13, Danish tennis star Holger Rune, is dedicated to a project focused on aiding children from vulnerable families. This initiative ensures these children can access support from hotline specialists.
Rune, an ambassador for the children’s charity Børns Vilkår, is currently fundraising to expand the project’s reach.
In a social media post, Rune explained: “Børns Vilkår operates a 24-hour hotline where children can anonymously call and discuss their problems with a caring adult. Often, children in unstable or abusive homes hesitate to share their difficulties due to shame. This hotline is therefore a unique and vital service that needs our support. I hope we can raise significant funds for this cause. Currently, resources are insufficient to answer all calls. My goal is to make it possible to answer every child who reaches out. Let’s help together.”
