Michail Antonio experienced a deeply moving return to West Ham, marking his first time back at the club’s grounds since a severe car accident.
The 34-year-old winger narrowly avoided death in December when he was involved in a frightening Ferrari crash.

Antonio was transported to the hospital by air ambulance after his £260,000 Ferrari veered off the road near Theydon Bois in Epping.
He sustained a broken leg and multiple other injuries after being trapped in his vehicle for over an hour.
Following an impressive recovery, the winger returned to the stands at the London Stadium for Monday’s match against Newcastle.
Antonio was celebrated as a hero by West Ham fans prior to the kickoff in East London.
The forward has recently been engaged in light training in Dubai, despite initial concerns that he might not be able to play professionally again.
However, there is no confirmed timeline for his return to playing.
West Ham manager Graham Potter has not dismissed the possibility of the Jamaican player returning to play this season.
Last month, Potter commented, “He is recovering.”
“He spent time in Dubai, which was beneficial for his rehabilitation.”
“I wouldn’t want to speculate on a timeframe for his return to playing as it would be unfair to him.”
“We are monitoring his progress daily.”
Antonio expressed his gratitude to the emergency services for saving his life after being discharged from the hospital on New Year’s Eve.
He shared on Instagram, “Every year around this time, I reflect on what I am thankful for, and each year I’ve found it hard to articulate it properly.”
“But this year, I know precisely what I am grateful for: being alive.”
“For many years, I took life for granted, making plans for the future, always assuming tomorrow was a given.”
“My recent experience has been a wake-up call. Life is precious, and every moment is significant.”
“I am deeply thankful to God for providing me with the strength to persevere and for allowing me to remain here.”
“To the emergency responders, the NHS, the Air Ambulance team, everyone at the Royal London and Cromwell Hospitals, and everyone at West Ham United FC, from top to bottom.”
“I am truly grateful and could not have navigated this without your support. Thank you sincerely from my heart.”
