Today marks the 37th birthday of the German tennis player Laura Siegemund. We extend our congratulations to Laura and wish her continued success both on the court and beyond.

Born on March 4, 1988, in Stuttgart, Laura Siegemund began her professional career in 2005. Throughout her time in the Tour, she has won two WTA singles titles and 15 doubles titles, earning $6,661,234 in prize money.

Siegemund’s best result in Grand Slam singles tournaments was reaching the quarterfinals of the French Open in 2020. In doubles, she claimed the title at the US Open 2020 alongside Vera Zvonareva. Additionally, in 2016, partnering with Mate Pavic, Siegemund won the US Open mixed doubles title.

In August 2016, Laura reached her career-high ranking of world No. 27 in singles. Currently, Siegemund is ranked 84th in the world in singles.

In May 2017, the German player sustained a serious injury at the tournament in Nuremberg, causing her to miss the rest of the season. At the Doha tournament in 2021, Siegemund played with Elena Vesnina, reaching the quarterfinals in doubles.

In August 2021, she underwent another knee surgery but returned to competition after six months. Subsequently, she won two doubles titles with Vera Zvonareva (in Lyon and Miami) and two more with Kirsten Flipkens (in Cluj-Napoca and Hobart).

In the 2023 season, Siegemund and Zvonareva won the WTA Finals title. In 2024, Siegemund secured one title in Osaka with Ena Shibahara.
