Former Spanish football player Gerard Pique stated that he tried to push for changes in tennis rules.
It is worth recalling that Pique’s investment company Kosmos previously managed the Davis Cup, but the ITF prematurely terminated the 25-year contract with them.
“We are trying to change some things, but it doesn’t work out. The ITF doesn’t want to change anything. Why do they serve twice in tennis? It gives the guy another 30 seconds to bounce the ball. People don’t want to watch that. And also, they don’t want to watch five-minute games with ‘advantage’-‘deuce’-‘advantage’-‘deuce’. We need to introduce a decisive point at 40:40,” the businessman said in Iker Casillas’ podcast.
