World No. 11 Mirra Andreeva has inflicted the most significant defeat on Elena Rybakina in over five years.
In the fourth round of the WTA 1000 tournament in Indian Wells, the Russian player conceded only three games to her opponent, with the match concluding 6-1, 6-2. Previously, Rybakina’s most lopsided loss was in September 2019 against Rebecca Peterson in the final in Nanchang, where she managed to win just two games (2-6, 0-6).
Notably, this marks the Kazakhstani player’s most devastating defeat in a major tournament to date.
