Tursunov mentioned that the match could be interesting if Samsonova plays her best game. He believes that Samsonova’s playing style usually suits playing against Kasatkina, but only if Liudmila is confident and the conditions are favorable for her. Otherwise, according to Tursunov, Kasatkina could outplay Samsonova due to her consistency, especially in windy weather. Tursunov also mentioned that Samsonova may not always play well against fellow Russians, and in this matchup, he leans towards a slight advantage for Kasatkina, especially if it’s windy.
