Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev, ranked No. 6 in the world, has commented on his advancement to the fourth round of the Masters tournament in Indian Wells. In the third round, he was scheduled to compete against American Alex Michelsen.
Michelsen stopped playing after just two games due to illness. As a result, the match concluded rapidly, lasting less than 20 minutes.
Medvedev stated, “I performed very well at the beginning of the tournament. That’s why I was looking forward to our match with Alex. I haven’t watched his games much, but I like his style on the court. I believe we could have had an interesting match. He was unlucky to get sick, but these things happen.”
He also added, “Playing here is always challenging due to the conditions. Before the tournament, I began to lose my rhythm, but it returned after the first match. I’m starting to feel better and better.” Medvedev shared these thoughts after the brief match.
