Toto, which opened in March 2022, was part of the Tatel Group, co-founded by Nadal.

Ronaldo joined as an investor in 2018, along with pop singer Enrique Iglesias.

Despite its popularity, Toto Madrid has closed, according to El Espanol, although its branches in Dubai and Abu Dhabi remain open.

The restaurant was known for its Vera Carbonara de Totó, reportedly ordered 250 times weekly.

The average customer bill was around £50, and the restaurant had over 300,000 followers on Instagram.

Ronaldo, aged 40, has numerous business ventures, including hotels and partnerships, such as with the Pestana hotel group, which developed a £43 million apartment complex in Madeira, Portugal.

CR7 also owns hotels, a footwear brand, and aftershave and underwear lines.

His endorsement deals include Nike, Armani, Castrol, and Tag Heuer.

Ronaldo also has interests in restaurants and once took the Portugal national football team to dine at Tatel de Doha restaurant in Qatar, another establishment owned by Nadal and Ronaldo.
