Six-time Grand Slam champion, German Boris Becker, explained why he decided to support Bayern Munich football club from a young age.
“Actually, I have been a Bayern fan for over 40 years, almost 50. When I was a little boy in Leimen, my favorite club was not Karlsruhe, Stuttgart, or Frankfurt, but Bayern. This is, of course, thanks to players like Beckenbauer, Hoeness, and Breitner. The love has remained to this day,” Becker said at an event celebrating the club’s 125th anniversary.
