Lifelong Newcastle United supporters Ant and Dec were beaming with happiness as they departed Wembley Stadium last night, following their beloved team’s Carabao Cup triumph.
The Magpies defeated Liverpool 2-1 in a final to remember, securing Newcastle’s first piece of silverware in 70 years.


Ant and Dec were seen cheering wildly inside the stadium as the final whistle blew, and their elation was clear as they left the iconic home of English football.
A grinning Dec pumped his fist and held a matchday program as he headed to a waiting car, while Ant, sporting a Newcastle cap and scarf, raised his arms in triumph.
There were celebratory hugs and cheers before the popular TV duo were driven away, concluding a truly memorable night.
The pair kept their fans updated on their cup final experience.
In a video shared on their TikTok account, the presenters exclaimed: “We did it!”
After a brief pause, they threw their heads back and resumed their joyful screams, shouting “Ahhhhh!” before erupting into laughter.
Ant joked about losing his voice, while Dec expressed his disbelief, saying “I cannot believe it!”
Ant added “This is amazing,” and Dec chimed in, “This is the best day of my life, apart from the wedding and the kids and all that.”
“But it’s the best day of my life!” Dec reiterated.
Earlier photos captured the duo jumping for joy after Dan Burn’s header gave Newcastle a 1-0 lead just before halftime.
Ant leaped into the air, waving his scarf, as Dec put his arm around a fellow fan in the excited crowd.
Shortly after halftime, Alexander Isak, the team’s top scorer, scored a second goal, doubling Newcastle’s lead – causing former player Alan Shearer’s hat to fly off in celebration.
TV footage showed Shearer retrieving his black baker boy cap after the celebrations calmed down.
Before the match, Newcastle fans had gathered in Covent Garden in anticipation of the long-awaited final.



Wembley Stadium was filled with a deafening roar and a display of 32,000 black and white scarves.
Newcastle had suffered five Wembley final defeats since 1955, making this trophy victory especially meaningful for their dedicated supporters.
Manager Eddie Howe faced several challenges leading up to the game, including an injured Lewis Hall and a suspended Anthony Gordon.
Despite Liverpool scoring a late goal in injury time, Newcastle secured their first major domestic trophy in 70 years.
This win makes Eddie Howe the first English manager to win a major English trophy in 17 years, since Harry Redknapp’s Portsmouth won the FA Cup in 2008.
Burn’s headed goal came just two days after he received his first England national team call-up at the age of 32.
The 6ft 7 former Asda employee, known for being one of football’s genuinely nice guys, was called up by new England manager Thomas Tuchel for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Albania and Latvia.
