Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou was involved in another heated discussion with an irate supporter following their defeat at Fulham.
Tottenham’s disappointing season continued as they suffered their 15th Premier League loss against Fulham on Sunday.
Goals from Rodrigo Muniz and former Tottenham player Ryan Sessegnon pushed the North London team down to 14th place in the league.
The situation worsened for Postecoglou, 59, after the final whistle when he faced another angry outburst from a fan.
The fan was heard repeatedly shouting at the Australian coach, “What was that?”
The former Celtic manager initially remained still while his players attempted to remove him from the situation.
However, Postecoglou appeared to respond with an inaudible answer, defending his actions.
Bayern Munich loanee Mathys Tel stepped in to de-escalate the situation.
Postecoglou’s coaching staff followed Tel’s example after the head coach walked away.
This is not the first instance of the Tottenham manager facing fan anger during this challenging season.
Postecoglou reportedly still has the backing of the Tottenham leadership despite a season plagued by injuries.
However, Tottenham risks missing out on European competition unless they win the Europa League, which would secure them a Champions League spot for the next season.
