Two-time Grand Slam mixed doubles champion, Andrei Olhovskiy, has shared his expectations for the performance of Russian players at the Masters tournament in Indian Wells.
“I won’t make any predictions,” Olhovskiy stated. “Our players currently lack stability, making it difficult to evaluate their chances at Indian Wells. I won’t speculate even about reaching the third round. If they successfully navigate the initial rounds, then we can discuss further. The crucial factor is achieving consistency.”
He pointed out, “Take Rublev, for example, who won in Doha but then suffered a first-round defeat in the subsequent tournament. Indian Wells will be intriguing. If our players gain confidence, there’s a possibility of seeing them in the later stages,” Olhovskiy concluded, as reported by ‘Championship’.”
